Recently , the DDAMG3 Android 4.0.4 ICS official firmware update has been received by the Samsung Galaxy Y Plus GT-S5303 . The budget range Smartphone has been released just few months back the current year with Android 4.0 ICS. There has been no news about any Jelly Bean update for the device. So, till then users must update their device to the latest available firmware released by Samsung. For the installation of the firmware , users can use the OTA update feature or the Kies utility . But if users prefer a manual way to update their Galaxy Y Plus S5303 to DDAMG3 Android 4.0.4 ICS firmware, they must follow our tutorial . It is requested to note that the tutorial does not require a custom recovery such as a rooted Galaxy Y Plus S5303 or CWM recovery because for the installation of this firmware we are going to use the ODIN utility.Once users finish the installation of the official firmware DDAMG3 Android 4.0.4 ICS with the help of proper rooting method , users can always root their Galaxy Y Plus S5303.


Detailed Installation Tutorial Of DDAMG3 Android 4.0.4 ICS Official Firmware

Step 1:

Download the latest Android 4.0.4 ICS S5303DDAMG3 Firmware from the previous page and Odin 3.07 into your computer.

Step 2:

Extract the firmware zip file at a suitable location on your desktop. Now you must get a .tar.md5 file and some other optional files.

Step 3 :

Extract the Odin zip file and now you will get the Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.

Step 4:

Now switch off your mobile and wait 5-6 seconds for vibration for the confirmation of complete switch off. Now , put your Galaxy Y Plus S5303 into the download mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down + Power+ Home button together till you see a construction Android robot on the phone screen. To enter the Download Mode ,Press Volume Up button again.

Step 5:

Now run the Odin3 v3.07.exe that you downloaded as an Administrator because ,for the complete installation of this process , Admin privileges is required .

Step 6:

Now connect your Galaxy Y Plus S5303 to the computer using a USB cable. Now , under Odin’s message box in the bottom left you will find a message “Added!!”. If case you don’t get it then you should try any other USB port (its better to use the USB port located in the back of your desktop PC cabinet). If in case even this still cannot solve your issue , then reinstall the USB driver for your device. If you see the “Added!!” message in Odin then move to the next step. If you successfully added your device , you must also see the COM port with a number in Yellow.

Step 7:

Select the fi following files from the S5303DDAMG3 folder that you got in Step 2 in Odin at respective buttons:

Click the PDA Button, now select the .tar.md5 file here with *code* appearing in its name (required)
Now click the phone button and select the file with the name*modem*(add it only if you have it in your extracted firmware folder)
Now , click on the CSC Button, and select file with the name *csc* (add it only if have it in your extracted firmware folder)
Then, click on the PIT Button, and select the .pit file. (add it only if you have it in your extracted firmware folder)

Step 8:

In the Odin window, make sure about the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes that are selected are only two. Make sure to select the Re-Partition checkbox , only if you have added a .pit file (step 7.4) in ODIN.

Step 9:

Double check everything that we have mentioned in Step 7 and Step 8 to make the flashing safe for you. Once you are ready, to begin the flashing process , press START button.

Step 10:

After you finish your installation , the phone reboots automatically and you will see a PASS message with a green background in the left-most box at the top of the Odin immediately . Now , safely remove the USB cable to disconnect the device from your computer.
