Design
The ZR model has a screen size of 4.55 inches. It is an easy in handling than its bigger brethren. It comes with a white plastic wrap all around the screen having the Sony logo, speakers along with the front facing camera up top. It has a notification light in the shape of a nice futuristic-looking line below the screen. It is similar to the one as in the Xperia ZL smartphone.
Display
With 4.55 inches TFT capacitive display and quite a decent amount of power, the Xperia ZR has its hands above its ‘mini’ counterparts. With 720p video recording capability and packing efficiency of 323 pixels per inch, the display’s BRAVIA Engine also improves the color reproduction to a very good level. On the whole, this is similar to a smaller version of the screen of the Sony Xperia Z but with many improvements.
Performance
Although the Xperia Z includes a somewhat aging Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, it makes perfect sense for this later midrange offering. The 1.5GHz quad-core processor is backed up by the Adreno 320 along with 2GB of RAM.
