With the simplistic UI and the look and feel of Stock Android, the latest update of the MIUI version 5 Custom ROM firmware is now available on your HTC One smartphone. State of the art features which are unavailable in the Stock Jellybean 4.2.2 Android firmware are offered by this custom ROM, in addition to the simplistic UI, as will be made clear by the screenshots mentioned below. Note that this is not the Stock firmware released by HTC but the Custom ROM firmware.

How to Update HTC One with Jellybean 4.2.2 Android OS:

The Jellybean 4.2.2 MIUI v5.0 Android Custom ROM Firmware Package can be downloaded to your computer from the link (http://d-h.st/lgk). After you have downloaded it, use an original USB cable to connect the device to the computer and place the zip file in the device.
To make your HTC one enter the recovery mode via the Boot loader mode, switch it off.
If you press the Volume UP key + OK button and by holding both of them at the same time, press the Power button, you enter the Boot loader mode in your HTC One X. Try again to enter into the boot loader mode in case the phone boots in the normal mode.
To enter into the recovery mode, the next step after entering the boot loader mode is to select “recovery”. Once in recovery mode, clear all the cache data present in the device by selecting Wipe data/factory reset and Wipe Cache partition.
The Android revolution HD firmware package which has been placed in the device should be selected after you follow the procedure “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” in the recovery mode. The update will take around 4 -5 minutes for the application once the file has been selected.
Note that since it is the first time after updating the firmware that the device will be booting, it may take a little longer than expected to boot up the device. Follow the path “Settings > Firmware Version” to check the firmware version, where it will be listed as Android Revolution HD Jellybean 4.1.2.
