Samsung users having the Galaxy Ace S5830 have one more reason to be happy, because they can now update their device with latest version of Jellybean 4.2.2 custom firmware. Not very long ago, the Samsung ACE 2 users got the official 4.2.2 update but Samsung will not be releasing the 4.2.2 JellyBean firmware package because of limitation of hardware. But in our opinion, Samsung should release a modified version of JellyBean optimized for low end of the Gingerbread era.
Procedure to Update Galaxy ACE S5830 with Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware:
Download the JellyBean 4.2.2 firmware package from here to your PC. After downloading, connect your device to your PC with a USB cable and transfer the downloaded file to the device.
Disconnect the device after transferring and go into recovery mode by selecting ROM MANGER application in Galaxy ACE. If the phone does not enter recovery mode, you have to install the custom Recovery image.
However, if it does go into recovery mode, choose “install zip for SD card” and then select the file that you transferred to the device. After selecting the file, in around 3-4 minutes the update will be applied.
After the update has been applied, a message will appear on the screen saying ”install zip from SD card complete”. Now choose “go back” and select “reboot system now” so as to boot the device in normal mode. Since it will the first time the device is rebooting after the update, it will take around 3-4 minutes.
