Google has already released the new Android jellybean 4.3 update for the devices like HTC One, Galaxy S4 and Xperia Z devices. However, it is so disappointing for Sony users that Sony hasn’t released an official update for Xperia Z. and now you can successfully update SONY Xperia Z with the jellybean 4.3 with the help of this tutorial. The Android Jellybean 4.3 by Cyanogen Mod can be installed in this tablet. By following the prerequisites mentioned below, you can proceed to check on what is the procedure to update the tablet.
Instruction to Install the Android 4.3 Jellybean on SONY Xperia Z TabletStep 1:
First download the jellybean 4.3 Android OS for Xperia Z by cyanogen mod team by following the below mentioned link and download the Google Apps package.
Step 2:
Connect your Xperia Z using the USB cable and the mount your storage.
Step 3:
Copy the downloaded files into the SD card without extracting the files.
Step4:
Disconnect phone after the copying process is finished.
Step5:
Boot your phone in recovery mode by pressing the volume button down and power buttons together [in recovery use volume buttons to scroll and Power button to select]. You can also try this: Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
Step6:
For installing the update, Select install zip from SD card, and then select choose zip from SD card. Now, locate the Jellybean 4.3 Android OS file that you copied earlier in Step 3 and select it by pressing Power button. On the next screen confirm the installation. And the installation process will start.
Step7:
After the installation process, install the Google Apps Package by repeating the process you have done in the step 8 the only difference is selecting the Google Apps file.
Step8:
After all the process is done. Go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot the phone. For checking whether the update is successful,
Go to MENU>>SETTINGS>>ABOUT>>SOFTWARE INFO.
