A new official build of firmware XXUAMH1 is being rolled out for Galaxy Mega 6.3′s LTE version (GT-I9205). This update being a lot of bug fixes and performance enhancements and is based on Android 4.2.2.
The first country to receive this rolling update is Finland. The firmware can be downloaded using the Samsung Kies utility or alternatively one can search for the firmware using the Over The Air (OTA) update feature. This can be accessed through Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update.
All of you who didn’t install the Android 4.2.2 XXUAMH1 update using the official method can do the same by following our guide below. This is an unbranded firmware and thus can be installed on any GT-19205 in any country/region provided that it has been unlocked.
How to install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean XXUAMH1 update on Galaxy Mega 6.3 GT-I9205 LTE Version
Step-1:
Download the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean XXUAMH1 official update for Galaxy Mega 6.3.

Step 2 :
Upon extracting the downloaded file you will obtain a .tar.md5 file and a few other files.
Step 3 :
Now download Odin v3.07 and extract the downloaded file to obtain Odein3v30.7.exe and a few other files.
Step 4 :
Turn your Galaxy Mega 6.3 off and after 5-6 seconds the phone should vibrate confirming that it has been completely turned off.
Step 5 :
Press and hold the Power, home and Volume down buttons together to boot your phone into Download Mode. A construction robot and a triangle should appear on your screen. To enter the Download Mode, press the volume Up button.
Step 6 :
Once you’re done, run Odin3 v3.07.exe. You may require adminstrator privileges for the same. So run the file by right clicking and then clicking on ‘Run as Administrator”.
Step 7 :
Connect your computer and Galaxy Mega 6.3 with a USB cable and wait for a while when Odin is detecting your device. Once you see an ‘Added’ message in Odin and the ID: COM options turns blue, your phone has been successfully connected. If you don’t see the ‘Added’ Message, you should try another USB port. If that too fails, try re-installing your USB drivers.
Step-8:
Select the files extracted from I9205XXUAMH1 folder to install on the phone
a) Click on PDA button, select .tar.md5 file
b) Click on Phone button, select file with MODEM in the filename
c) Click CSC button, select file with CSC in the filename
d) Click PIT button, select .pit file
Step 9 :
Make sure the the F.Reset Time and Auto Reboot checkboxes are checked. Also, ensure that the Re-Partition is checked only if you are using the .pit file.
Step 10 :
Now you’re ready for the installation process. Click on the start button in Odin utility and the process will begin. This should take a few minutes to finish.
Step 11 :
Your phone will automotically restart once the installation is finished. You will see a green background and a ‘Pass’ message in Odin. Now you may disconnect your phone from your computer.
Your phone is now updated with the Android 4.2.2 XXUMAH1 Official Build. :)
