After release of an update of the Android version 4.3 along with the new Nexus 7 by the Google, XDA developers, Chainfire have released an Auto Root, compatible with Android 4.3 and it is also setup in order to support the firmware updates in the future.
Rooting can be done to the devices by following some steps and it is meant only for the owners of the Nexus device.


Before rooting the device, users need to first back up all the data and the USB Debugging Mode must also be enabled. According to the views of Redmond Pie , all the Nexus products must be unlocked and there must be a minimum of 80 percent battery life in the tablet.
Android SDK and CF-Auto Root are the major files required for the rooting of the device.


  • Initially , users need to have the CF Auto Root Package for Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi) and Nexus 3G and must install the Android ADB and Fastboot on Windows.
  • Now , proceed with the installation of Android SDK, which contains the important drivers that connects the Nexus device to the computer.
  • Now , extract the files from the CF Auto Root Package
  • Turn off the devices and continue booting the tablet in fastboot mode by pressing the volume Up and Down and Power keys together.
  • Using USB cable , connect your Nexus device to your computer and wait for the Windows install the files
  • The folder containing the CF-Auto Root files must be opened.
  • For Windows, hit Windows.bat, In the case of Linux, click on chmod +x root-linux.sh or root- linux.sh and for Mac OS X click on chmod +x root-mac.sh, Run root-mac.sh.
  • Continue to follow the instructions given on the screen. The device boots into normal mode once the booting process gets over.
  • After this process ends, the status can be checked by going to the app drawer and searching for the application named SuperSU.

Recently , Samsung has released another official update with the version of the build as XXCMI2 for the Galaxy Note 10.1 international 3G + Wi-Fi version with the model number GT-N8000. The update is a Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean based andavailable as an OTA update as of now and in Germany , through Samsung Kies for the Galaxy Note users



Installation steps for XXCMI2 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 :
Step-1: First of all, download the Android Jelly Bean XXCMI2
official update onto your computer from the following link (Download Now)
Step-2: Extract the downloaded firmware in order to get a file with .tar.md5 extension including some other files
Step-3: Download the Odin v3.07. Extract this and you will find the file with the name “Odin3 v3.07.exe” and few other files
Step-4: Turn off your device and wait for some time and let the device vibrate for the confirmation of complete power off
Step-5: Now, your device must be booted in the Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down and Power buttons together and wait for the construction Android robot to appear on the screen. To continue further in the download mode , press the Volume Up button .
Step-6: As administrator , run the Odin3 v3.07.exe on your computer
Step-7: Connect your tablet to your computer using a USB cable when it is in the Download Mode. Wait for Odin to detect the device. An Added message will appear under Odin message box after a successful connection. The ID: COM box in Odin turns blue with the COM port number indicating successful connection

Note: In case you don’t see any Added message , try the USB Port located at the back side of the computer.Re-install the USB driver if Odin still fails to recognise the device .
Step-8: Select the extracted files from N8000XXCMI2 folder to proceed with the installation on the tablet
a) Hit PDA button and choose the file which has a .tar.md5 extension
b) Hit Phone button and choose the file with the name MODEM
c) Hit CSC button and choose the file with the name CSC
d) Click PIT button and choose the .pit file
Note: If you don’t find any such files, ignore the last three steps b, c and d .
Step-9: Make sure for the Auto Reboot and F. Select the Reset Time checkboxes . Uncheck the Re-partition option and select only if a .pit file is in use.
Step-10: In the Odin , hit the Start button . The installation process starts and will take some time to finish.
Step-11: After a successful installation, the tablet reboots automatically. And then in the extreme left box at the very top of Odin , a PASS message with green background will appear. Disconnect your device from the computer by unplugging the USB .
XXCMI2 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean official firmware is now installed and running on the Galaxy Note 10.1. Navigate to Settings and then About tablet for the verification of the new software version of the device.

> go to “mounts and storage” and format system

In CWM recovery, click Install Zip from SD card and select the ROM zip file which was copied earlier to the phone’s SD card. The same procedure can be followed for the installation of the Google Apps package. After selecting the ROM file, allow it for its installation on the device. It may take about 5 minutes to complete
Once the device is updated, for rebooting the phone into the newly installed ROM hit Reboot System Now option.
SlimBean Stable ROM is now successfully installed on your Galaxy S GT-I9000. Go to Settings > About Phone to check the firmware version installed.

Transformer TF700T i.e., the Transformer Pad Infinity is the one among the leading tablets by Asus in 2012. Eventhoug the tablet has been shipped along with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) , the company has recently rolled out an official firmware for the Android v4.2.1 .



Transformer Pad Infinity users now have a better news, because the latest Android 4.3 custom Jelly Bean firmware is available for the device through the CyanogenMod 10.2 ROM. Asus hasn’t revelead the date of release of this firmware yet.


For the users who are still waiting for the official release of latest Jelly Bean firmware , they can now install the custom version by following the steps below.

Using the original USB cable , connect the tablet to your computer and copy the downloaded CyanogenMod 10.2 ROM and Google Apps zip files into the main folder in the SD card
Switch off the tablet and now boot the device in the recovery mode. One can make the device enter the recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up and Home buttons together and then simultaneously tapping the Power button until you see a green robot icon with a triangle on the screen which confirms the entry of the device into the Recovery mode.
Proceed through the following steps in CWM recovery before proceeding with the flashing of the new ROM:

Now, in recovery mode select the option of “clear cache” and then select “wipe data” so that the device is wiped off with all the data for clean installation.

Once done with clearing the cache and wiping the data, select the option of “install zip from sd card” to select the Galaxy S4 Looking Custom ROM Zip Package and the Google Apps Package for installing the same.

Please note that it will take around 4 -5 minutes for installing the update. Once the update is applied successfully, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” to check the current firmware version.

Recently , the DDAMG3 Android 4.0.4 ICS official firmware update has been received by the Samsung Galaxy Y Plus GT-S5303 . The budget range Smartphone has been released just few months back the current year with Android 4.0 ICS. There has been no news about any Jelly Bean update for the device. So, till then users must update their device to the latest available firmware released by Samsung. For the installation of the firmware , users can use the OTA update feature or the Kies utility . But if users prefer a manual way to update their Galaxy Y Plus S5303 to DDAMG3 Android 4.0.4 ICS firmware, they must follow our tutorial . It is requested to note that the tutorial does not require a custom recovery such as a rooted Galaxy Y Plus S5303 or CWM recovery because for the installation of this firmware we are going to use the ODIN utility.Once users finish the installation of the official firmware DDAMG3 Android 4.0.4 ICS with the help of proper rooting method , users can always root their Galaxy Y Plus S5303.


Detailed Installation Tutorial Of DDAMG3 Android 4.0.4 ICS Official Firmware

Step 1:

Download the latest Android 4.0.4 ICS S5303DDAMG3 Firmware from the previous page and Odin 3.07 into your computer.

Step 2:

Extract the firmware zip file at a suitable location on your desktop. Now you must get a .tar.md5 file and some other optional files.

Step 3 :

Extract the Odin zip file and now you will get the Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.

Step 4:

Now switch off your mobile and wait 5-6 seconds for vibration for the confirmation of complete switch off. Now , put your Galaxy Y Plus S5303 into the download mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down + Power+ Home button together till you see a construction Android robot on the phone screen. To enter the Download Mode ,Press Volume Up button again.

Step 5:

Now run the Odin3 v3.07.exe that you downloaded as an Administrator because ,for the complete installation of this process , Admin privileges is required .

Step 6:

Now connect your Galaxy Y Plus S5303 to the computer using a USB cable. Now , under Odin’s message box in the bottom left you will find a message “Added!!”. If case you don’t get it then you should try any other USB port (its better to use the USB port located in the back of your desktop PC cabinet). If in case even this still cannot solve your issue , then reinstall the USB driver for your device. If you see the “Added!!” message in Odin then move to the next step. If you successfully added your device , you must also see the COM port with a number in Yellow.

Step 7:

Select the fi following files from the S5303DDAMG3 folder that you got in Step 2 in Odin at respective buttons:

Click the PDA Button, now select the .tar.md5 file here with *code* appearing in its name (required)
Now click the phone button and select the file with the name*modem*(add it only if you have it in your extracted firmware folder)
Now , click on the CSC Button, and select file with the name *csc* (add it only if have it in your extracted firmware folder)
Then, click on the PIT Button, and select the .pit file. (add it only if you have it in your extracted firmware folder)

Step 8:

In the Odin window, make sure about the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes that are selected are only two. Make sure to select the Re-Partition checkbox , only if you have added a .pit file (step 7.4) in ODIN.

Step 9:

Double check everything that we have mentioned in Step 7 and Step 8 to make the flashing safe for you. Once you are ready, to begin the flashing process , press START button.

Step 10:

After you finish your installation , the phone reboots automatically and you will see a PASS message with a green background in the left-most box at the top of the Odin immediately . Now , safely remove the USB cable to disconnect the device from your computer.

The release is an Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based one , which requires the pre-installation of ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery . As the CM10.2 Nightly ROM works without the installation of Google Apps (GApps) , their installation is optional.

Using CynogenMod 10.2 Nightly ROM for the installation of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on Galaxy S3 (LTE) GT-I9305 .
Plug in your phone to the computer and mount its SD card via USB cable.
Copy the Google Apps zip and downloaded ROM files to root folder on phone’s SD card without extracting them .
Remove the USB cable from the computer and switch off phone once the file transfer process is done.
Press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons to Boot the device in recovery mode . Wait for the screen to flash and then release all three buttons.
Take Nandroid backup of current ROM so that the data can be restored if the new ROM fails to work or if you feel the original ROM better. For a backup, choose Backup and Restore and then click Backup option displayed on the next screen. Once the backup is done ,return back to main recovery menu.
Perform a full data wipe task as follows: Choose Wipe Data/Factory Reset and then click Yes on next screen for the confirmation .It takes some time for the completion of the data wipe process. Now click Wipe Cache Partition once you return back to the CWM recovery main menu. Wait for the completion of the data wipe process . Under Advance options , Choose Wipe Dalvik Cache.
From the SD card , Chose the Install Zip option and then select Choose zip option from the SD card. Browse to CyanogenMod 10.2 unofficial ROM zip file copied to phone in Step 2 and select it by tapping Power button. Confirm the installation of ROM by choosing Yes on next screen and immediately ,installation will begin.
After the ROM installation, and repeat the previous step. Now ,Choose Gapps zip file to for the installation of the Google apps.
Once the installation of Google Apps is finished , return back to the main recovery menu and click reboot system now. The phone now reboots to the newly installed CM10.2 Nightly ROM. Leave the device along as the first boot may take some time.
Returning to Previous ROM
For the restoration of previous ROM , boot into recovery mode, choose Backup and Restore and restore original ROM by selecting it from list.
The update of Android 4.3 CyanogenMod 10.2 Nightly ROM is now successful on the Galaxy S3 GT-I9305 . For the verification of the firmware version installed ,Go to Settings -> About Phone .

Although the N8020XXBMF1 Jelly Bean firmware doesn’t offer any new features, it includes a number bug-fixes and maintenance updates for Galaxy Note 10.1 (LTE) to improve its overall system performance and stability. The firmware can be installed using the ODIN flash tool and hence custom recovery tools such as ClockworkMod (CWM) are not required.

Manually Update your Galaxy Note 10.1 (LTE) N8020 to Android Jellybean 4.1.2 XXBMF1 Official Firmware using the Odin flash tool

Step 1: Download the file mentioned in the link given below

Step 2: Now extract the firmware zip file which you downloaded in step 1 to your computer to obtain a .tar.md5 file.

Step 3: Extract the Odin zip file to the current folder.

Step 4: Now you need to switch off your phone to put it into download mode which is required for downloading these files to your phone. To do this, first switch off your phone and then press and hold Volume Down and Power buttons together until the Samsung logo appears on the screen. Now hit Volume Up to switch into Download Mode.

Step 5: Launch Odin3 v3.07.exe as an Administrator in your PC.

Step 6: Connect the Galaxy Note 10.1 to the computer via a USB data cable provided by Samsung, while the device is still in Download mode. A message saying “Added!” will appear in ODIN window after successfully connecting the device to the computer and the ID: COM box will change to yellow or blue with the corresponding COM port number.

Step 6: Now select the following files from the N8020XXBMF1 firmware folder by using respective checkboxes:

Select the PDA checkbox, and click the ‘.tar.md5′ file

Step 7: Enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options in the Odin window by selecting the checkboxes. Make sure that the Re-Partition checkbox is not be selected.

Step 8: Double Check steps 6 and 7 to avoid any errors and then hit START button to begin flashing the firmware.

Step 9: After completion of firmware installation, the tablet will reboot automatically and a PASS message with green background will appear in the top left of Odin and unplug the USB cable, once you see the home screen.

Your Galaxy Note 10.1 N8020 is now running the latest Android 4.1.2 XXBMF1 official firmware. To verify the firmware details go to Settings > About Tablet.

A new official build of firmware XXUAMH1 is being rolled out for Galaxy Mega 6.3′s LTE version (GT-I9205). This update being a lot of bug fixes and performance enhancements and is based on Android 4.2.2.
The first country to receive this rolling update is Finland. The firmware can be downloaded using the Samsung Kies utility or alternatively one can search for the firmware using the Over The Air (OTA) update feature. This can be accessed through Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update.


All of you who didn’t install the Android 4.2.2 XXUAMH1 update using the official method can do the same by following our guide below. This is an unbranded firmware and thus can be installed on any GT-19205 in any country/region provided that it has been unlocked.

How to install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean XXUAMH1 update on Galaxy Mega 6.3 GT-I9205 LTE Version

Step-1:

Download the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean XXUAMH1 official update for Galaxy Mega 6.3.

Step 2 :

Upon extracting the downloaded file you will obtain a .tar.md5 file and a few other files.

Step 3 :

Now download Odin v3.07 and extract the downloaded file to obtain Odein3v30.7.exe and a few other files.

Step 4 :

Turn your Galaxy Mega 6.3 off and after 5-6 seconds the phone should vibrate confirming that it has been completely turned off.

Step 5 :

Press and hold the Power, home and Volume down buttons together to boot your phone into Download Mode. A construction robot and a triangle should appear on your screen. To enter the Download Mode, press the volume Up button.

Step 6 :

Once you’re done, run Odin3 v3.07.exe. You may require adminstrator privileges for the same. So run the file by right clicking and then clicking on ‘Run as Administrator”.

Connect your computer and Galaxy Mega 6.3 with a USB cable and wait for a while when Odin is detecting your device. Once you see an ‘Added’ message in Odin and the ID: COM options turns blue, your phone has been successfully connected. If you don’t see the ‘Added’ Message, you should try another USB port. If that too fails, try re-installing your USB drivers.

Step-8:

Select the files extracted from I9205XXUAMH1 folder to install on the phone

a) Click on PDA button, select .tar.md5 file

b) Click on Phone button, select file with MODEM in the filename

c) Click CSC button, select file with CSC in the filename

d) Click PIT button, select .pit file

Step 9 :

Make sure the the F.Reset Time and Auto Reboot checkboxes are checked. Also, ensure that the Re-Partition is checked only if you are using the .pit file.

Step 10 :

Now you’re ready for the installation process. Click on the start button in Odin utility and the process will begin. This should take a few minutes to finish.

Step 11 :

Your phone will automotically restart once the installation is finished. You will see a green background and a ‘Pass’ message in Odin. Now you may disconnect your phone from your computer.

Your phone is now updated with the Android 4.2.2 XXUMAH1 Official Build. :)

Having a base firmware XXBME3, a new software update was made available to the Galaxy S3’s international LTE version with GT-I9305 as the model number. The Jelly Bean Android 4.1.2 based update is available in many countries in Europe like France, Luxembourg and Poland.

How to manually root Samsung Galaxy S3 I9305 on XXBME3 Jelly Bean Android 4.1.2

Step-1:

First of all the CF-Auto-Root file should be downloaded to the computer for Samsung Galaxy S3.

The name of the file is: CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305.zip

Step-2:

The downloaded root zip file is to be extracted to obtain a .tar.md5 file inside it.

Step-3:

The Odin3 v3.07 is to be downloaded. The Odin zip is to be extracted and Odin3 v3.07.exe is to be obtained.

Step-4:

The Galaxy S3 is to be switched off and then to ensure complete switch off, wait for the vibration for approximately five to six seconds. Then press and hold the Volume down and Power button at the same time till the time a construction Android robot is visible on the screen to boot the device into Download Mode. To continue enter into the Download mode, the Volume Up button is to be pressed.

Step-5:

As an administrator, the Odin3 v3.07.exe is to be run [The procedure for the same is by clicking on the Odin.exe and then as Administrator, go to the context menu and Run is to be clicked.]

Step-6:

Use a USB cable to connect the Galaxy S3 to the computer during the time it is in the Download Mode. Until the device is detected by the Odin, wait for some time. On the successful connection of the phone, under the message box of the Odin will show an Added message. In addition to this, the Odin’s ID: COM box will change into blue color with the indication of successful connection by the COM port number.

Note:

Another USB port is to be tried if the Added message is not visible. The one at the rear of the computer is to be tried. The USB driver is to be installed again if the device is still not recognized by the Odin.

Step-7:

Select the PDA button in Odin and choose the file named CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305.tar.md5.

Step-8:

The Auto Reboot is to be verified and the F.Reset Time checkboxes to be selected in the Odin window. The option of Re-Partition is to be unchecked.

Step-9:

In the Odin, the start button is to be clicked. Now, the installation will start and a few minutes’ time will complete it.

Step-10:

The phone will automatically be rebooted after the completion of the installation process and then in the extreme left box at the top of the Odin box, with a green background, a PASS message will be visible. To disconnect the phone from the computer, the USB cable is to be unplugged.

This will complete the successful rooting of theGalaxy S3 LTE on XXBME3 Jelly Bean Android 4.1.2. Any app requiring root permission can now be installed. From the Google play store, the Root checker app is to be installed in order to verify the root status.

Disconnect the device. Now download the ROM Manger app from the Google PLAY Store to enter the device into recovery mode.

After successful connection of the device. You can also note a COM port with a number in yellow if you have connected the device successfully.

Step 7:

Select the update files you have already extracted in the ODIN app at respective options.

Select the PDA button, and select the .tar.md5 file it shows the *code* appearing in its name

Select the Phone button, you should select the file with the name *modem* (only add if the file is seen in the extracted folder)

Select the CSC button, you should select the file with the name*csc* (only add if the file is seen in the extracted folder)

Select the PIT button, and you should select .pit file (only add if the file is seen in the extracted folder)

Step 8:

In the ODIN app confirm that the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are only two that are selected. Also confirm if Repartition checkbox is selected, only if already added a .pit file.

Step 9:

For safe flashing, recheck the details said in step 7 and 8. After confirming, click the START button for flashing.

Step 10:

After the installation process the phone will get rebooted and you will find a pass message in the left side of the ODIN window. You can safely unplug the device when finished.

Step 7:

Click on “PDA” in odin to select the extracted Firmware tar file which will be there in the extracted folder to click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Please note that you are not selecting any other option in the odin as it may even brick the phone. Make sure that “Auto Reboot” option is NOT checked in ODIN

Step 8 :

Now, once you are ready, hit the START button to begin the flashing process.

Step 10:

Once installation is done, your phone will reboot automatically and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can then safely unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.

Complete Installation Tutorial Of T311XXUAMG1 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Official Firmware

Step 1:

Download Odin 3.07 to your PC and the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean T311XXUAMG1 firmware. The links are mentioned in the previous page’s download list.

Step 2:

Extract the compressed firmware zip file anywhere on your desktop and you should see a .tar.md5 file in the extracted folder.

Step 3:

Extract Odin zip file and you will see Odin3 v3.07.exe along with some other files on your PC.

Step 4:

Now switch off your tablet and wait for the vibration for complete switch off of the device. Then press and hold the Volume Down + Power button simultaneously to enter the Download Mode. You will see an Android Robot on the screen. Press volume up button again in order to enter the download mode.

Step 5:

Now run Odin3 v3.07.exe file that you got in Step 3 to install Odin. You must run it as an Administrator as administrator rights are required to for the installation to complete successfully.

Step 6:

Now with the help of a USB cable, connect your Galaxy Tab 3.8.0.T311 to your PC. You will see a message in Odin’s message box which is on the Bottom Left saying “Added!!”. If you don’t see the message, try plugging the device in another USB port. But if even that doesn’t do it, you need to install the USB drivers for your PC again. In case you do see the “Added!!” message in Odin, you will also notice the COM port with a number in yellow meaning that you are all set to proceed to the next step.

Step 7:

Choose the files mentioned below in Odin at the respective button from the firmware folder:

Click on the PDA button and choose.tar.md5 file here with the *code” given in its name. (compulsory)
Select file with *modem* in its name by clicking on the Phone Button ( do this only if you see it in the extracted firmware directory).
Choose the file with *csc* in its name by clicking on the CSC button. ( do this only if you see in your extracted firmware directory)
Choose the .pit file by clicking on the PIT button. ( do this only if you see in your extracted firmware directory)

Step 8:

In the Odin window, make certain that the only checkboxes ticked are Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. Also, make certain that, in Odin, the Re-partition checkboxes is ticked only when you add the .pit file (check Step 7.4).

Step 9:

To make the process of flashing safe, cross check everything once again that we mentioned in Steps 7 & 8. Once everything is set, press the START button to start flashing.

Step 10:

Once the installation is completed, you will notice a PASS message with green-background in Odin in the left-most box at the top. Your tablet will reboot automatically and you can safely remove the USB cable from your PC to disconnect the device.
